Our slow adventure walk pick is the Milltown Woods Walk. It is a great choice for all the family to spend some quality time in nature. One simple thing to do, to go the extra mile to make it a slow adventure, is to pop your phone on flight mode for the duration. 🌲🌳🌲
Near to the town of Manorhamilton are three loop walks developed around the village of Lurganboy and Milltown Wood. The loops can either be combined if you wish to experience a slow adventure last even longer, or various parts can be followed for shorter less demanding walks. 🚶♀️🚶🚶♂️
Some of the walks have steep inclines and give elevated views over surrounding countryside. They go through forest property owned by Coillte and in some cases follow forest access roads. 🌳🌲🌳
Why not take a wander around the small town of Manorhamilton, which has great historical features such as the Manorhamilton Castle ruins, and some wonderful small businesses to peruse. 🚶♀️🚶🚶♂️
Horse trekking through Leitrim with MoorlandsEquestrian Centre offers an opportunity to slow adventure, in the presence of the animal world. Taking time in the beginning to get to know your horse, presents a calming time to slowly engage with your outdoor adventure. 🐴🐴
Based on the shores of Lough Allen, in the heart of Co. Leitrim, this is a family run riding school who offer horseback riding tours. 😌😌
