I grew up in Ísafjörður in the Westfjords and have loved to be outside from an early age. I competed in cross country skiing for eight years that later evolved into loving to be in the backcountry, enjoying what ever nature offers to me and friends. Telemarking, snowboarding, alpine skiing, hiking, kayaking, snorkelling, kite surfing, sailing, rock/ice climbing. I work full time as a guide in the
backcountry, skiing, mountain/glacier hiking, ice/rock climbing, caving and sea kayaking. I do a lot of adventure tent/hut/boat based multi day tours but also day trips. Through my personal and professional experiences, I have developed a number of skills, including patience, understanding and strong communication skills. I consider myself open, a peoples person and easy to get along with. Apart from my native tongue, I am fluent in English and have the ability to understand and communicate in Norwegian to a moderate degree. I have a strong work ethic, leadership skills and can take on the utmost responsibility for a variety of duties. Growing up in Iceland you get to know the weather well, I am used to navigating and camping in fierce wind storms, whiteouts, sleet, horizontal rain and snow.
