If you've been following my recent posts from Vietnam, you might have noticed that most of the photos I have been sharing share one common feature: vibrant colors!
Vietnam is incredibly colorful and lively, especially during the rainy season. Although the rain and humidity can be challenging, the payoff is undeniable… everything looks more vibrant, more colorful, and more alive compared to the sunbaked, dry landscapes with brown or barren rice terraces. While it's true that July, August, and September aren't typically considered the best months for tourists in Vietnam, we're not tourists; we are photographers, we do not want the same things as tourists, and we are willing to go the extra mile to get great photographs.

Vietnam Photo Tour 2024 is done! 🤠❤️💪🇻🇳
It’s always mixed feelings when a long and successful tour with great people ends… it’s kinda sad it’s over… on the other hand I am really looking forward seeing my wife and kids… and just maybe 🤔 will take a half day off… because a 16 day tour like this… where we go out 4.30 every morning, all day travelling or shooting and sometimes back to our hotel late… are quite demanding 🤠
If you been following my Vietnam posts you’ve seen a glimpse of what we do on a trip like this… of course this is only a fraction of the photos we got and the edits are fast and dirty, but it shows what we are doing and I can’t wait to do a proper edit on some of them.

I’m already looking forward to next year No Vietnam photo tour offers more photography opportunities as this one! 🤠🇻🇳❤️

Tomorrow is the last day of this 16 day VIETNAM Photo Tour.
I always had great tours here in Vietnam but this one takes the price! Every year we improve the tour finding new spots and new ideas… but it is the amazing condition every day that makes this tour stick out… the participants are wonderful people and a pleasure to travel with… and my friend Phouc is without a doubt the best guy I could possibly have to take of us !
I’m already looking forward to next year 🤠

If you have been following my Vietnam posts you can see we are doing a lot of photography… we are up every morning at 4.30 and… some nights (like last night) we were at the hotel just before midnight. What I’m showing you here is only a fraction of what we are shooting. 16 days of pushing it like this can be pretty exhausting… but the group is keeping their eyes on the price and it is impressive how hard they are working 😊 they are all getting amazing photos 🤠💪

In just a few days, I'm heading back to Vietnam to explore, shoot, and lead a workshop with my dear friend Nguyễn Vũ Phước

We capture everything, from the harsh realities some people face to beautifully conceptualised photos.

After many years of visiting Vietnam, I have tens of thousands of photos from there, and I love them all. However, what truly stands out and is closest to my heart are the “real” photos… images of people in their environments, whether they're working, celebrating, or simply living life. It's these photos, where true emotions like sadness, happiness, or anything else shine through, that resonate with me the most. When a photo takes me back and makes me feel what I felt when I took it, that's when I know I've captured something special.

As I perch upon the vast steppe, my Golden Eagle at my side, plotting the course of my empire, it grieves me to declare that the 2024 Mongolia Photo Expedition shall not proceed due to insufficient warriors... However, the conquest of Mongolia in 2025 remains within our sights, contingent upon the rallying of more souls.

Yet, our campaign does not falter here. Come next week, I shall lead our forces to subdue Bolivia, and in August, a few coveted positions remain for my most storied Photo Expedition to Vietnam. Seek out the link in the comments... Enlist before the gates of opportunity close.

Tomorrow marks the final day of our incredible week in Lofoten. It's been a fantastic journey with amazing people. The conditions have been favorable—we've been treated to three stunning Northern Lights displays, and there's a promising chance for another one tonight. We've witnessed breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, experienced blizzards, snow, rain, and wind—it's truly been a taste of everything. However, all good things must come to an end, and tomorrow, we'll begin our journey back to Evenes, making a few stops along the way. From there, everyone will depart for their homes, carrying with them wonderful memories and a treasure trove of photographs.
