Mardi Himal Trek is a short but wonderful trekking route in Annapurna region , Nepal .This trekking route gives plenty of joy and scenic mountain view from beginning to end of the day. Annapurna south ,Himchuli and Mt,Fishtail are dominating the circumstances around us ,most of the time we need to walk inside forest during this time the mountain will play hide and seek game with us . The maximum altitude we gain is 4500 M ,Mardi Himal Base camp .

Itinerary :

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu .

You will land in Tribhuvan International airport at the altitude of 1400 M just before 5 mins of landing time you will encounter a magical mountain view on your right side . Our representative will wait in the arrival zone with your name board . Thamel (tourist place ) is just 7 KM away from the airport ,takes 25 min drive to reach in normal time . During office time ,sometimes it takes 1 hour as well. Overnight at Kathmandu Hotel .

Day 02 : Preparation Day.

It's a warm up day for trekking . Since you travel a long journey ,you need some rest and adjust your body with different altitudes and different time zones . We can start our day on these days but there will be higher chances of getting sick so we recommend having one day in Kathmandu . We will check our check list for things to take to the mountain and will have an easy tour around Kathmandu valley (Swayambhunath Stupa ) . Pre - Departure meeting will be held in the evening before dinner . Overnight at Kathmandu .
Day 03: Fly to Pokhara -Drive to Kande -Trek to Deurali 2200 M
After having breakfast at the hotel , we will transfer to Domestic airport to fly to Pokhara. It's just a 25 min flight which gives you plenty of mountain views from the right side of the aircraft . Pokhara is the most beautiful city in Nepal from where you can see mountains from any point of the city . After landing at Pokhara airport (900 m ) we will drive to the hotel where we are going to spend a night after the trek . Will have tea then drive to Kande . Kande is just 30 KM away and a 1 and half hour drive takes us to Kande . From Kande 1 hour uphill trek and some easy steps takes us to Australian Camp where we are going to have lunch . After lunch we will proceed to Deurali . Overnight at Deurali 2200M .

Day 04: Forest Camp 2600 M .5 hour gentle up and downs .

After breakfast we will move to a forest camp . Most of the time we will walk through the forest . After 30 minutes walking we will see the top of Dhaulagiri mountain .While walking through the forest we may encounter some wild animals like deer and red panda as well. Before there was only one tea spot but now we have lots of options in between for food and drinks as well . Overnight at Lodge .
Day 05: Badal Danda 3200 Meter .

Leaving Forest camp , the trail is gentle uphill and passing through forest and 30 minute walking takes you to the rest camp from where you can see mt. Fishtail . We will have tea if we are interested, otherwise we keep moving towards a low camp, our lunch place where we will have some magical mountain view as well . Right after lunch , straight up the hill takes you one lodge from where you can see badal danda ,which literally means cloudy hill . 10 min downhill and 20 min uphill takes you to the Badal danda . Overnight at Lodge .

Day 06 :High Camp 3540 M

The trails of Badal Danda in dense forest , but as we are above 3500 M the plants soon start to get smaller ,and after approximately one hours walking we break out onto the open rodge . Once we reach , we will encounter majestic views of Machhapuchhre ahead,and Annapurna South to the left.If we look down right ,we can see the Mardi Khola River winding its way through the Valley . After 3 hours we arrived at High Camp . If the weather is good , we will have a wonderful sunset view . Overnight at Lodge .

Day 07: View Point 4200 M -Mardi Himal Base Camp 4445 M and Trek Down to Badal Danda .

We have an early breakfast and start climbing to reach High View point or for the energetic,Mardi Himal Base Camp at 4450 M . There will be time to explore or just gaze at the peaks from these high vantage points . If the weather is clear, the views will be stunning . In the early afternoon,we return to High Camp ,have lunch ,pack up and descend to Badal Danda . As the day closes,the setting sun turns the hills and mountains of the himalaya pink ,then red and finally purple before the stars take over,and we settle in for an early night .

Day 08 : Trek Down To Kalimati .
Overnight at Mardi Himal Eco Village lodge . After have a breakfast ,we trek down to forest camp have lunch then 2 hour walking down takes us Kalimati from where we can see valley to south and north can see mountain .

Day 09 : Drive to Pokhara . Overnight at Pokhara .
A 1 hour unpaved and 1 hour paved road drive takes you to Pokhara .Then after you will have free time around Pokhara , you can explore yourself .If you need our help , we are always eager to organize a tour . Evening culture dinner will be offered by a company where you will know about some cultural shows there

Day 10 : Fly to Kathmandu .
You will have free time here for refreshment . Evening farewell dinner will be set by the company with your guide .-

Day 11: Departure to Home .

It's the day to leave Kathmandu but not the memory of Nepal . We will transfer you to the airport three and half hours from Hotel .

Annapurna Base Camp,which is also famous with name of Annapurna sanctuary sit -uted in 40 KM north of the naturally beautiful city ,Pokhara .It is an oval-shaped plateau placed at altitude of 4130 M.Since ,The sanctuary is circled by giant mountains of the Annapurna massif on all sides ,it is confidently said that ,the best 360 degree panoramic mountain view in Himalaya .The Annapurna range includes six beautiful peaks which all of them are over 7000 M .It contains Annapurna I(8091M) ,Annapurna II (7937 M) ,Annapurna III(7219M) , Annapurna IV(7525 M) ,Annapurna South (7219 M) and Gangapurna (7455M) and many more .For sure , Mt. Fishtail (6993 M ) is dominating the circumstances there .
ITINERARY
Day 01 : Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport ,Kathmandu (1400M)
Our staff will stand outside the arrival gate with your name plate .Right after our staff meet you , we will transfer to Thamel where our hotel is booked for a night's stay . It is just 7 KM and takes 25 minutes to reach the Hotel .
You will have free time or you can buy the needy things for upcoming days .
In the evening :- we will have a briefing for a tour .
Day 02: Fly to Half Day Tour then fly to Pokhara .
7:00 AM :Breakfast .
8:00 AM : Leave hotel for warming up tour near to Thamel (SwayambhuNath Stupa and Kathmandu Durbar Square=Both of it is UNESCO heritage site ).Swayambhu nath stupa is at 15 minutes driving distance from your hotel at Thamel which is also famous as Moneky temple . After spending an hour at Stupa , we will drive to Kathmandu Durbar Square , a historic and ancient palace square set up by the Malla Dynasty (13-18 CAD) ; however there is certain history from the Licchavi Dynasty (1 -9 CAD) as well .The most notable monument are Kumari Ghar(built at 18 CAD by Last King of Malla Dynasty ) and Kasthamandap temple (built in 7CAD) . Surely , will have a glance of Kumari (literally living goddess ) and will receive a blessing for a successful journey .
10:30 AM : Ride a Riksa(three wheeler ) to get back to the Hotel -this offers you an experience of the local market of Kathmandu .
12:30PM: Departure for Pokhara
Our airport representative and driver will transfer you to the domestic terminal (runway is the same for international and domestic flights )
2:00 PM :Fly to Pokhara ( 822M).
This 25 Minutes flight offers you a majestic mountain view on your right side .Our airport representative will stand with your name plate at arrival (don't expect a more facilitated airport ) .Right after you meet our representative ,you will be transferred to the hotel . Evening you will have an evening walk on the lakeside .During this walk you will have a chance to see Arati (hindu's light offering ceremony) infront of Tal Barahi Temple . Dinner at any restaurant around and get back to the hotel .
Day 03: The Big day ( fly to Annapurna base camp and get back to Pokhara )-Tour around Pokhara -Evening drive to world peace stupa (1100M) for sun set view ).
6:30 AM : Leave the hotel for Airport .
6:45 AM:Reached at the airport .
7:15 AM:Fly towards Annapurna base camp -The Helicopter takes off from Pokhara airport ;whirling over the city , heading to the north and towards the Annapurna region .As you gain altitude you are instantly presented with Annapurna mountain ranges shining at a distance .In minutes ,will enter the Annapurna conservation Area which extend to 7629 Sqm covering Manang ,Mustang ,Kaski ,Myagdi and Lamjung Districts .Approximatley 25 min of flying and gaining altitude ; will reach the Annapurna sanctuary .The helicopter lands at the Annapurna Base Camp at an altitude of 4130 M.7:35AM :Reached Annapurna Base Camp -Once you land at Base Camp ,you will find yourself bound with great mountains and many peaks from almost every corner .You will have 10-15 minutes time to memorized surrounding atmosphere .
7:45 AM : After roaming around the plateau , prepare for getting back to Pokhara .25 minutes mesmerizing flight will land at Pokhara airport .
8:45AM:Reached hotel. You will have breakfast .
9:45 AM:Leave hotel for Pokhara Sightseeing (International mountain museum,Tibetan refugee camp and Gupteswar Cave)
13:00 PM: Will drop you at Restaurant for lunch and will have free time . You can get back to the hotel on your own .
4:30 PM:Drive to world peace stupa for sun set view .
6:30 PM:Drop to Restaurant for dinner. After dinner we will drop to the hotel or you can have free time .
Overnight at the Hotel .
Day 04:Fly to Kathmandu -Sightseeing to Pashupatinath Temple and Boudhanath Stupa
After Breakfast ,our driver will transfer to the airport to fly Kathmandu .Then we will directly visit Pasupatinath Temple ;hindu's sacred temple where you will encounter the cremation process of hindu . After one and half hours ,will drive to Boudhanath stupa ;a Buddhist sacred monument built on the 5th CAD .
Lunch at Stupa view restaurant .After lunch ;drive to Hotel .
Evening:farewell dinner .
Day 05:Fly Back to Home.
We will transfer to the international airport before 3 and half hours .

- In short ,Yes .Every airline prioritizes safety on any types of tours that they operate . Flight takes off only after a well enough inspection of weather conditions and wind direction .
2.How long does the Annapurna Base Camp Helicopter tour in Nepal take ?
- 50 min . flight time and 30 minutes ground time .Whereas ,if you wish to get from Kathmandu it will take longer .
3.Do we land more than one stop ?
-No,we don't .Since ABC is just 40 KM away from Pokhara ,There is no need to stop at more than one place.
4.What is the maximum altitude that we reach during the tour ?
-It is uncertain when we fly but for landing and taking off ,maximum altitude will be 4130 m .For this kind of tour ,the heli reaches well over 45000 Feet .
5.Do helicopters carry oxygen tanks for an emergency ?
-Yes
6.What is the best time for the ABC heli tour in Nepal ?
-Autumn and spring are the Best .

Cautions :
Always be in the line of sight of your pilot .Enter /exit the helicopter from the side or front .
