The trek starts in the town of Kande, which is about an hour’s drive from Pokhara. From High Camp, it’s a steep climb to Mardi Himal Base Camp, where you’ll be rewarded with stunning views of the Annapurna range, including Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and Hiunchuli.
The descent is through a different route via the Kalimati village and concludes at Lwang Village. You can then drive back to Pokhara to enjoy the scenic city by the lakeside.
The trek can be done independently, but it’s recommended to hire a guide and porter to assist with navigation and carrying gear. It’s also essential to have the proper gear, including warm clothing, trekking boots, and a sleeping bag.
