About Nepal
The first civilizations in Nepal, which flourished around the 6th century B.C. ,were confined to the fertile Kathmandu Valley where the present-day capital of the same name is located. It was in this region that Prince Siddhartha Gautama was born c. 563 B.C. Gautama achieved enlightenment as Buddha and spawned Buddhism.Nepali rulers' early patronage of Buddhism largely gave way to Hinduism, reflecting the increased influence of India, around the 12th century. Though the successive dynasties of the Gopalas, the Kiratis, and the Licchavis expanded their rule, it was not until the reign of the Malla kings from 1200–1769 that Nepal assumed the approximate dimensions of the modern state. The kingdom of Nepal was unified in 1768 by King Prithvi Narayan Shah, who had fled India following the Moghul conquests of the subcontinent. Under Shah and his successors, Nepal’s borders expanded as far west as Kashmir and as far east as Sikkim (now part of India). A commercial treaty was signed with Britain in 1792 and again in 1816 after more than a year of hostilities with the British East India Company.

welcome Tours in Nepal 2012
Dakshinkali and Chobhar:
Dakshinkali and Chobhar. The temple of Dakshinkali is dedicated to one of the most important Hindu Goddess Kali and is one of the most popular places of worship in Kathmandu.Located 22 km from the city center on the southern rim of the Valley past Pharping village, the shrine is especially crowded on Tuesdays and Saturdays when animal sacrifices are offered to the deity. On the way back, stop at Chobhar, the famous gorge, just 8 km south west of Kathmandu. The narrow gash in the hills was made by Lord Manjushree to drain out the lake which once covered the Valley. A majestic view of snow clad mountain can be viewed from the hilltop close by.
Sankhu,Bajrayogini
This year I was lucky enough to see the Bajrayogini’s Jatra (festival) at Sankhu, Kathmandu. This is one of the major Jatra that we can see inside Kathmandu valley. I did not see the crowd as we see in jatra of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur or Lalitpur. May be since Sankhu is a small village/city east north of Kathmandu and the population is very less. Many people are not aware of this jatra, there were very less visitors to observe this jatra. There will be different type of excitement while watching this jatra. Since the Bajrayogini temple is at the top of the hill, bringing the god’s statue down the steep hill on the heavy chariot is really exciting. I think locale from Sankhu should invite people, friends, and relatives from different places to see this jatra so that people will know about it, see the excitement of this jatra and know more about this ancient city Sankhu. There are also can do hiking Sankhu to Nagarkot, This place is also popular for Sali Nadi (holy river which is mention in one of the holy book of hindu, Swasthani). This place has many thing to offer for internal, Indian (for holy reason and external tourism). somewhere about this place that around 15th or 16th century some Italian priest visited this place and compare it with their Italian city saying it’s beautiful .it’s jatra, Fairs to make the place popular and attract tourist so that the economy of the locale people will increase.Enjoy the pictures and feel the excitement guys.
Kakani and Nagarjun:
Nagarjun hill is one of the famous Buddhist stupa on the Nagarjuna Hill which is about 7km. from Kathmandu on western skyline. A motor able road leads through Raniban (Queen Forest) to this stupa. It takes about 45 minutes to reach there in motor/jeep while hike is about 5 km. on foot and takes about 2 hours. It is quite steep and one has to climb about 754 m. as the stupa is situated on the top of the Nagarjun hill at 2128m. This hill is also described in literature as Vindya Mountain.
Kakani is situated 23 km. away northwest from Kathmandu standing proudly at the elevation of 2,073m. It is most popular of immense pleasure and spectacular view of the Himalayas like Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang and Gaurishankhar etc. It takes an hour driving to reach there and 3/4 hours hiking from Kathmandu.
Shivapuri National Park :
Shivapuri National Park is a home to 177 species of birds of which 9 are enlisted as endangered, 19 species of mammals and 150 species of butterflies some endemic and rare. This is, out of the total of 800 species of birds, 130 species of mammals and 600 species of butterflies found in Nepal, thus making Shivapuri a paradise for flora and fauna and one of the two National Park situated in the capital around the world.
Chisapani and Sundarijal:
Kathmandu valley, the capital city of Nepal offers you varieties of short treks for those adventure seekers who have very duration of hEvenoliday. Chisapani Nagarkot Trekking is also a short but quite beautiful trek to do.On this trek you can expand interesting feeling to be close with natural world, cooperating people of rural Nepal and heart breaking views of White Mountains including Mt. Everest from Nagarkot. In additional early sunrise view from Nagarkot is the magnificent attaraction of the trek. Along the way lots of beautiful Hindu temples and Buddhist gompas can be found. Chisapani Nagarkot Trekking is popular for its own kind of culture and traditions followed by the locals.Chisapani Nagarkot Trek is done inside the Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park and it’s illegal to enter the national park without permits. Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park {159 sq km) is situated on the northern fringe of Kathmandu valley and lies about 12 km away from the center of capital city. The area was gazetted as the country's ninth national park in 2002. Prior its declaration as national park, it was managed under the Shivapuri Watershed Development Board, and was later declared asShivapuri Watershed and Wildlife Reserve. The park is easily accessible from Kathmandu. Visitors are attracted to the park for trekking.

About Nepal
A landlocked country lying between India and the Tibetan Autonomous Region of China, Nepal contains Mount Everest (29,035 ft; 8,850 m), the tallest mountain in the world. Along its southern border, Nepal has a strip of level land that is partly forested, partly cultivated. North of that is the slope of the main section of the Himalayan range, including Everest and many other peaks higher than 8,000mtr.Jungle safari as sports started early in the history of Nepal during the Rana regime.Chitwan used to be popular with high dignitaries from Europe especially from England. They are taken there to hunt tigers and other wild animals. Elephant used to be the vehicle on which they ride and hunt. There are many remarkable books about this. Now this sport and spot has turned into jungle activities for tourist. Instead of gun now the tourist shoot with their camera. The jungle tour includes activities like elephant ride and walk in the jungle. Canoe-ride in Rapti-river to see birds and crocodile in their natural habitats. Jeep-excursion to go.
