G*i Jatra 😍😍

G*i Jatra is a festival of dancing, singing, mirth and laughter. It is celebrated in the Kathmandu Valley to diminish the sadness from the death of family members. As part of the festival family members of the deceased of the past year send people mostly children, dressed as cows to parade on the streets.The festival usually falls in July or August. During the festival, cows are marched in the streets. People also distribute food to others.

Ihi, Ehee or Bel Marriage (Nepal Bhasa:ईही) (Bel bibaha) is a ceremony in the Newarcommunity in Nepal in which pre-adolescent girls are "married" to the bael fruit (wood apple), which is a symbol of the god Vishnu, ensuring that the girl becomes and remains fertile.

It is believed that if the girl's husband dies later in her life, she is not considered a widow because she is married to Vishnu, and so already has a husband that is believed to be still alive.😊😊
