The Newa community celebrates Sithi Nakha on the sixth day of the waxing moon of Jestha(May/June) in the Bikram Sambat calendar. It is a traditional indigenous cultural festival celebrated to care for nature and culture.
While few of the family members are off to clean the water resources, the members at home prepare special newari delicacies on this date.
