We are delighted to announce the winner of the 2024 Richard and Elizabeth Ashford Textile Award is École de la Laine (School of Wool).

Since its establishment in 2006, the school has taught the textile fibre crafts to1500 students from throughout France. Now wanting to make the fibre arts accessible to all, the school would like to have available an Ashford E-Spinner, an E- Ball Winder and an E-Carder.
Educational Director at the school, Lauren Back, says the electronic tools will enable those with physical and mental disabilities to gain full access to the courses and enjoy the same experience and results as the other students.

The two recent Ashford Open Days, hosted by Ashford dealer were originally scheduled for April 2020.....it took a while, but I finally made it 😁
It was wonderful to see such a great turnout both days and lovely to see some familiar faces. It was so much fun to be out and about again. Thank you to everyone who attended 😊

The Elizabeth and Richard Ashford Textile Award
Back in 2017 Elizabeth and Richard established their annual award. Since then, initiatives to further textile crafts, help educate and rehabilitate, foster connections and social enterprises - all using textile craft equipment - have been finalists and winners of the award.
The award is open to everyone worldwide: individuals, groups, artists, teachers, guilds, aid agencies, non-government agencies..
Elizabeth and Richard want to encourage and support textile artists.
They are looking for creative projects that have vision and are viable. This could be a process, a garment, innovative idea, or an educational or philanthropic project.
So, if you have such project/initiative or know of someone or such a project/initiative you can find more information and the application form here www.ashford.co.nz/award
Remember the winner receives NZ$5000 of Ashford equipment. All finalists will receive an award of NZ$250 of equipment.
