So I’ve been DJing for about 20 plus years, and I recently celebrated my 40 something birthday, so I thought it’ll be a good idea to give this DJing promo stuff a go.
I’m pretty old school when it comes to DJing, and I still love to move people on the dance floor, but more recently, I’ve been reminiscing about getting back to the decks as I’ve been away from the industry for about 10 years.
Boy have things changed, and even though I’ve kept up with the technical advances in hardware and software, it seems to me now that everyone knows a DJ, has had some experience in trying to DJ, or is a part/full time DJ in some form or another.
Anyone can download the latest free version of some DJ software, hook it up to their home stereo, and call themselves a DJ, but for me DJing is more than just the hype, or image of being a DJ. It’s not about technical ability, or the best most expensive gear, to me DJing is about the love of getting that dance floor to move and have a great time.
