We’ve been quiet on here lately! We’ve been welcoming in new clients, pushing on with builds on site as well as handing over some beautiful builds in Milford, Whangaparāoa and Leigh which we will have photography done on soon 📸

Lots of exciting new projects on the table, these renders showcase a select few our in house Draftsperson has been working on and a collaboration with one of our favourites 🙌🏼

BARN HOUSE CONCEPT

A lot of the projects we work on have multiple cladding types from brick, to aluminium to timber products. Using multiple claddings make an exterior profile more unique and notable. During the design process its important to think through how the junctions of each will work and interact with each other and its important to get it right before the project hits site.

This current project we are working on features 190 x 19 vertical shiplap cedar on cavity- stained with Resene Woodsman. The cedar on this job is one of three different claddings we are using to break up the visual of the exterior and reduce maintenance cost. The other claddings are Midland 70 series ‘Commons’ bricks laid with in and out effect (Aztec design) and Corrugated Colorsteel Maxx Zincalume.

We've built over 400 homes in the last 30 years and Cedar continues to be such a popular choice for cladding. The most popular three cedar finishes are Natural timber look, Weathered timber look, and black stain.

Exterior cladding is Triclad Enduroclad 12.5mm thick plywood cladding with bandsawn face installed with 300mm centres between the cover battens.

The feature alfresco facing the views of Sandspit harbour features Hardigroove linings for the decorative Battens spaced at 1200 centres. Painted in Resene Double Alabaster alongside all soffits.

Have you checked out our latest home in Omaha Beach we have completed?

After spending more than 2 decades travelling North for long weekends and holidays with family in tow, it was time for the old Bach to be pulled down and replaced with a new modern home that would suit full time occupation.

The house is split into 2 levels. The highly used spaces to the upper level, with the less frequented spaces to the lower floor. Carefully placed windows to the upper level pick up on ocean views through view shafts of neighbours properties, while the back of the house opens up to a generous raised deck suitable for large family gatherings and providing easy access to the beach through the gate in the back fence.
