Let the games begin.

5x Containers with 16 plus vehicles heading for Omaka this year.

Mighty effort team. Will contact everyone individually with loading location and assembly dates. Many thanks to everyone, even with the difficult times we have all gone through, for making the effort to get up there and getting involved.

We still have some space in containers for small gear, props, tents etc.

Good morning all.

As you are aware Covid is still impacting international travel.

We have been exploring all options but in the end have come to the same result. We will not be hosting an event this year.

We can not begin to explain how much this has disappointed us as the whole team was looking forward to seeing everyone play again. We have some additional changes to MAG coming up soon so keep checking in to see whats new.

Stay safe everyone.

Good evening everyone.

We have looked at all possible ways over and over again. Given the on going effect of covid 19 on overseas travel restrictions to NZ and the potential for regional restrictions remaining a very real possibility we are postponing this years international event.

This is a postponement NOT a cancellation and we will be providing alternative event dates next month for comment so that we can ensure we minimise the effect on everyone as much as possible.

NZ players please contact me directly for information starting next month.😭

Advance Warning Order

We will be having a meeting within the next few days to discuss the impact of Covid 19 on operations for the rest of 2020.

We will let you all know what decisions are made as soon as we are able I know many are wanting answers to questions.

Like many organisations we have been trying to digest information released by Government and their predictions which we have to say have not been very insightful.

Update!

Good evening everyone just a couple of updates.

We are monitoring the world coronovirus situation and our countries response. We will keep you updated on how this affects the event as we go along.

To answer some questions.

Yes this is a milsim, while we will have a rest tent at each base for anyone who becomes fatigued or unwell we will not be billeting in a camp situation. To keep the feel of the theme going players doing the night portion of the event will be billeting in field setting up their own defended positions and protecting them all night. This means STAG!

There will be battery charging facilities at the main safe zone.

There will be toilets positioned in field so you dont have to go miles to go. These will be re positioned as event progresses.

There will be two qualified paramedics on site.

Day only players should arrange accommodation off field for safety and security.

Players will be organised into day/night and day only teams. This is so the day/night teams are not left undermanned at night.

Vehicles will operate at night.

Pyrotechnics will operate at night.

More to follow soon.

Good evening all.

At the request of the Australian Event Co-organiser we have opened the Friday early game and the Monday event up to New Zealand players. I have amended the entry forms to accommodate this.

Wolf pack players respect that they are guests here, They have stressed that they want to ensure, as we do, that no New Zealand players or groups are excluded from the opportunity to play airsoft.

Let battle commence.

Or you can choose the dark side. Registration forms available online at the end of the month.

Hello to everyone.

We hope through this trying time that you and your family are keeping safe no matter where you are in the world.

I have been fielding several questions regarding the proposed airsoft event scheduled for later this year and why we have not been advertising.

The answer is simple- we do NOT believe that now given the seriousness of what we as a nation and as a world are facing is the correct time to be doing this. We need to be focusing on following guidelines and doing our part to help beat this pandemic.

When it is safe for us to run an event we will. And by safe we mean when we can be certain that we will NOT expose our players to risk nor provide a potential for our players to carry risk back into their homes, work spaces, and communities. We are working closely with WOLF Pack Airsoft and they will be continuing to keep their players and members updated along with ensuring that their airsoft community remain safe.

But just to allay fears 'Counter Strike' will run. We all just need to be patient and stay safe until we can all get through this.

Remember stay home, stay safe, and follow the guidelines. But please remember that undertaking isolation does not mean remaining isolated. Stay connected. Stay in touch.

It might be that PM you send one of your airsoft buddies that makes all the difference.

We look forward to seeing you ALL on the field of honor when we get through.

Noel, Linda, Nigel

When my country hurts I hurt.
When My country weeps I weep.
But when my country bows from strain I will not bow.
I will straighten my back.
I will stand upright and strong.
I will carry my country when it needs me to.
I will do what my country needs.
I will keep my family friends and neighbours safe.

Until my country, our country is strong again.

Stay home help beat what has been thrust upon us.
Support our emergency services.
Be kind to our Police, follow the rules and guidelines.
Remain connected you are not alone self isolation does not mean isolating yourself completely from the ones you love.

We wish you all each and every one the very best.

Evening all I am going to make comment here. Comment that will probably make some people angry. Many of us have been affected by the Governments knee jerk reaction to an act perpetrated by a non New Zealand citizen.

The Governments reaction has I am sure left many of us upset, hurt, disillusioned, even angry. We have been left feeling victimised, marginalised, and betrayed. But what is also happening is that what was at one time a close and well formed relationship with the New Zealand Police is, understandably because of the human feelings involved, being destroyed.

We need to remember that many Police do not entirely agree with what has happened. And they know that many people have been hurt by the Governments response. But at the end of the day they have to do their job. The test of character is not maintaining a relationship when people are doing or giving us what we want it is maintaining that relationship when they are not or can not give us what we want. Now more than ever we need to show our character.

Do not allow the individual posing as our Prime Minister to ruin our community/police relationship. Even though she has forgotten her duty to represent ALL New Zealand citizens with out bias or prejudice show good character.

We would just like to thank again our sponsors for their on going generous support and hard work. With out their efforts it would be very difficult indeed to continue to undertake displays and educational events.

It is great to see New Zealand companies proudly supporting New Zealand Military History and the loss and sacrifice of New Zealand service men and women.

This afternoon I have been doing re org for the gun teams and amending the staff roster. It has been one of the saddest things I have had to do in such a long time.

To everyone who came out today to say goodbye to Jason thank you all. I know his family truly appreciated it.

I think Jason would have been very surprised and a little embarrassed to realise how much he meant to so many people.

For us we will not get over you not being there mate you will be forever missed and life will always be a little poorer for not having you around.

Like everyone mate I am sure that Linda and I did not tell you often enough what a wonderful person you are and how glad we are to have you as a friend. Until the other side mate....waiting, out.

Our Story

At M.A.G (Military Adventure Group) we are constantly evolving and developing to meet need. Some people will see our focus has slowly shifted lately. This is to enable us to support the preservation and presentation of Military History here in New Zealand. Something that the Directors of MAG are passionate about. To this end we have created the 2nd Divisional Artillery Gun Team. This group is always happy to receive applications for membership.

We still specialise in providing military styled adventure that is second to none, technical advice and support to film makers, props, staff, and displays to spice up your next corporate event.
