𝗦𝗲𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯!
It was a wonderful and busy summer season at Segway Tours of Anchorage. We greatly enjoyed meeting fun-loving visitors from around the world who came to us on E Street, ready to begin a Segway adventure. Some choose sightseeing around downtown Anchorage, as did this happy group, while others went on the Great Alaskan Earthquake tour or the Lake Hood tour. There were also those enthusiasts who decided all three tours were the way to go during their stay in Alaska.

We’ve put the Segways in hibernation for the winter. While that’s happening, we’ll be planning exciting additions to the tours for the 2023 season. Come visit us in the spring to see what’s new! In the meantime, we’d love to hear from you about your Segway adventure.

With a magnitude of 9.2, it was the most powerful earthquake in the nation’s history and second most powerful recorded in the world.

Take a Segway tour and one of the truly Anchorage scenes you’ll see is the Alaska Railroad and its very friendly engineers. The railroad, painted in the colors of the state flag, carries both passengers and freight. It is one of the last whistle stop routes left in the US where riders can stand near the tracks and extend a thumb or wave a bandana to request a ride. Building of the railroad started in 1903 and gave birth to a construction town along Ship Creek that subsequently grew into Anchorage.
