Hey all past guests!! Last year was rough health wise for me and it limited a lot of what I can normally collect and prepare to promote our homes authentically. I typically like to use real life images because- heck, everyone wants to know the reality of what the house, duck, beach, etc are really like.

If you are willing to share any great content- videos, photos, etc with us that we can use as we promote for 2025 season I would be so grateful and give photo cred. If anyone has super savvy content creators and they made some great clips I will pay for those too if they could work for promo.

We have been busy getting ready for you all!

Part of the fun of having these homes is sometimes you can re-imagine the rooms and THAT is exactly what we are doing.

This year you can expect some new decor, new room themes and still lots of color all over!

All of the bedrooms have gotten a make over- new themes, bedding, lay out and new looks! We can’t wait to share more.

The rec room is really getting love- updated couch and chair, cocktail mixing space, new TV, mini fridge and fresh paint which really brightens it up!

Salty Sister

Welcome to our page! We are a family of 7- Jennie & Keith and our 5 kids. We married in 2013 and became known as the Salty 7 as we all don't have the same last name. Many think Salty comes from our love of the beach but in reality it's from Matthew 5:13 (You are the salt of the earth).

Salty Sister has a great story of how she came to be. In Aug 2017 we purchased our first home in Duck- Salty 7 (named for our family). One year later after a great first season we texted our realtor jokingly saying find us another one as it had gone so well.

Fast forward one month and we purchased this special house. First, it's in the same neighborhood our family has always vacationed. Second, the house is unique- tons of woodworking details and a beachy cottage vibe. We named her Salty Sister as she's the little sister of 7- same beach house feel but smaller.

We updated the space for families who want bright colors, glimpses of ocean and amazing light throughout. There are personal touches all over that give you a peek of who we are- the colors are bright and fun, lots of space at the pool to spend long afternoons, splashes of orange because Jennie’s a Hokie and a well stocked kitchen to eat in and enjoy meals together.
