My daughter and I, along with our two dogs, travelled 389 miles to stay at David's place (appropriately called " Sunchaser") on Emerald Isle (EI). We have been coming to EI since 1987 and know it very well as we are part-owners of another house on the ocean about 4 miles from David's place. To say we were impressed is an understatement. The cleanliness of the house and organization of everything was amazing. One can tell that David deeply cares about the experience of those people who decide to come and stay at his place. As i did do some work while I was there, using my laptop and phone, the office was the perfect space, size-wise and with the view of the ocean. If we need to come down again when our place is not available, we would definitely choose "Sunchaser".

Our stay at David's place was nothing short of exceptional. David's hospitality is unmatched, with prompt responses and genuine care for his guests. The house is cozy, clean, and spacious, offering a perfect retreat in an ideal location. It provided us with everything we needed, even on rainy days with a variety of indoor activities. Thanks so much, David, for one of our best Airbnb stays yet!

Our stay was wonderful. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets and star gazing. Kids loved the downstairs play area.

We just stayed for spring break with our kids and it was in such a perfect spot! Beach is access is just feet away from the house. We had a great view of the ocean and sound from the second floor. We enjoyed our stay there.

Mark your calendars for the 9th Annual Bike the Banks, which offers three different bicycle rides to complete - a 10 mile, a 50 mile and a 100 mile option. This event will take place on Saturday, May 4th.

Participants in all three races will meet at the Emerald Isle Community Center to register and receive important details before the event begins at 7:30 a.m.

Great shot! We see an occasional whale migrating (east to west) in the fall at SunChaser!

Humpback Whale breaching (jumping) in front of the Lighthouse yesterday (01/11/2023)! -- Now this is what I call being in the right place at the right time! Humpback whales begin to migrate past the park at this time of year as they follow the schools of fish on their way back from their southern feeding/breeding grounds back to their northern summering areas off New England. Keep your eyes open and your camera handy as this Humpback was seen breaching in front of the lighthouse on the oceanside yesterday!
