As many are aware, Fort Myers Beach was ravaged by hurricane Ian. Storm surge nearing 13 ft destroyed the "White Whale" on Wednesday, September 28, 2022. Thank you for all the kind words and to those who enjoyed a stay here under the "White Whale", "White Elephant" or "Grey Shingles" we hope that you will cherish your memories.

Sea Turtle number 5 came ashore on July 3 to make her contribution to the turtle population. 5 nests so far in 2022 is a record.

Full moon this week helped our turtle friends find our friendly beach. 60 days or so from today the little ones will be scampering towards the gulf. Hopefully no major storms between now and then to wash out the nest!

The sea turtle showed up again this year to lay her eggs last night! The "turtle patrol" was out early to mark off the nest area this am. Thanks to our guest, Rob, for sharing this exciting news and photos.
