Whatever table you are at this year, we hope it’s truly special.
This year, we are especially grateful for all of our guests. They have all been lovely. This is our first year as Airbnb hosts and we are thankful for the opportunity to provide a memorable experience. We’ve had nothing but positive feedback and suggestions. (Side note: we LOVE suggestions- our last guests mentioned we should add a crab steamer- and DUH. Why didn’t we think of that? There will be one ready for next season for sure!)
We can’t grow and get better without you- we are committed to making your stay better and better, every year!

Fall at The Pearl of Hatteras means cooler temps but warmer beverages! There is nothing like curling up on the porch with a hot cuppa and tucking into a nice book. You *might* be able to concentrate, the views are so very distracting! 🤩☕️📖
We have a couple of weeks open in November, come enjoy the autumnal peace of the island- you can’t beat it!

Our family has personally been vacationing in the Outer Banks for almost 20 years. In those beginning years when our kids were little, we could not have fathomed being able to eventually provide the same wonderful experience that we had, for others.

Those years were so special and that ONE single week-long vacation we got every year was so very precious to us. Forget fancy cars, clothes, and jewelry…we know that TIME with your loved ones is the most valuable thing to be blessed with. We hope our appreciation for that TIME comes through in The Pearl. It’s not just an investment for us, there is so much love and intention behind every detail in the property.

We are incredibly moved to be wrapping up our first summer with TEN 5-star reviews. We are grateful and appreciative for each and every guest.

No matter what home you choose to stay in, we truly hope your experience in the Outer Banks is as special as ours has been. Fall is knocking at the door, peeps, make sure you are investing in TIME!

We don’t actually recommend doing dishes on vacation BUT if you cook, it’s a necessary evil. But I mean… is it less evil if you wash with a view? We think so. 💙

Those 😎… have you booked your vacation yet? There *may* be a couple weeks left in August and the fall is WIDE open. We may be biased, but we think the fall is the best time of the year to visit. The weather is still great, and the large crowds are gone (just make sure to opt for the trip insurance in the event of a hurricane. ;) )

While staying at , check out coffee shop! It’s so adorable. They have GREAT coffee, delicious treats, and a sweet little gift shop with the most adorable art for sale. In season, they are open Tues-Sat 7am-4pm and Sun 7am-12pm. Closed Monday.

We’ve been prepping for our first guests of the season, arriving next week! “The Pearl of Hatteras” is official- the sign has been installed and she has all the good juju for a great vacation! There are a couple of weeks left open in August- I’m sure they will go fast!

Have you been to ? Not only is it the pinnacle of fishing on the Outer Banks, but it’s a great spot for shelling!
It is right here that the warm currents of the Gulf Stream meet with the colder currents of the Labrador, creating shifting sandbars and the perfect conditions for big-game catches!
Located only a couple of miles from , you can purchase a day pass to drive on the beach (seasonally), or park and walk if you’re feeling up to it. It really is such a unique place. Just be careful swimming, the undertow here is CRAZY and sometimes dangerous. It’s best to shell, look for dolphin pods, and watch the fisher men and women haul in sharks!

The past few bookings for The Pearl have all been families with DOGS! 🐕🐩🐕‍🦺
We love dogs, and dogs love The Pearl (evidenced in photo! 😂)
Hatteras Island is such a dog friendly place, and we are so grateful for that. Pups are truly members of the family and also deserve to ! 🐾🏖🐾

Super, super great news! “The Pearl” has opened up for 3-night bookings! The only restriction is that you can’t check in on Wed or Thur, our cleaner is SWAMPED with weekend check outs. :) But short stays are now a thing- even in the summer!
Experience the Outer Banks in a new way. The Pearl is the perfect place for two couples or a small family. It’s a brand-new modern home on a tidal pond. Walk to the beach in 5 minutes. Hop in a (provided) kayak and explore the waterways. Bring your kite board to one of the best kiteboarding sites on the east coast! Surf the best waves around.

The Pearl of Hatteras has open summer dates! During the summer, we are a Fri-Fri rental so you can avoid that dreaded OBX Saturday traffic. 💪. The Pearl is perfect for two couples or a couple with older children. She has 2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, is A BRAND NEW, modern, contemporary home. And guess what? Two kayaks are included! And a paddle board! And it’s only a 5-minute walk to the beach.
