In honor of #BlackHistoryMonth, we are highlighting one of the most successful Black golfers in the history of the game, with 12 PGA Tour wins: Calvin Peete. Named “the straightest driver in PGA Tour history,” Peete hit 84.5% of fairways in 1983, leading the tour in accuracy. This remains the highest percentage of fairways hit on tour to date (22% better than the tour average that year!). Peete went on to hold that title for ten consecutive years - holding #1 in driving accuracy from 1981 through 1991!
