55th Annual Dory Days Festival July 15,16 &17 2016 Pacific City

Festivities will kick off with the Dory Days Parade, scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. from Bob Straub State Park and continuing into downtown Pacific City.

Throughout the weekend organizers will host live music and kids’ activities at Cape Kiwanda. The Dorymen’s Association will operate a booth to answer questions from the public and a display of dory boats in the Cape parking.

The popular annual fish fry will occur from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday at the Cape.

The Dory Days Festival is a major fundraiser for the Chamber and Dorymen’s Association.

Saturday, July 9 11am -3pm Come help us transform the sidewalks of the historic Delake School building into colorful works of art during our 3rd annual Lincoln City Chalk Art Competition. On Saturday, July 9, from 11 to 3 p.m. the sidewalks surrounding the Lincoln City Cultural Center will become blank slates for artistic creations for the young and the young-at-heart. Vendor booths will be set up on the lawn, selling food and drinks and promoting local children’s programs. Registration for the sidewalk chalk art competition is $5 for ages 6 and under and $10 for ages 7 and up and includes a sidewalk square and box of chalk. Individuals can purchase squares next to each other to produce a group work. Registration forms can be picked up at the Cultural Center or printed from the Center’s website.
