We are adding a new service! With over 12 years of experience in the wedding industry and a passion for weddings, I have found my favorite part of wedding coordinating is chatting through the logistics of wedding details. Also while planning my own wedding, I even found myself wanting someone to bounce ideas off of or confirm I am not missing anything. This service is for couples (or their parents) who have a venue with a wedding coordinator or do not have it in the budget to hire a wedding planner or coordinator (trust me, I understand), but would love some extra help answering their wedding planning questions. Here are a few of my wedding planning tips (and how I will help through the wedding day as a coordinator) PART 2:

4. Marriage license signing is pretty simple! You will need your officiant and two witnesses. But when, where and who will join you? You can sign the marriage license following the ceremony OR you can sign before the ceremony if you want to start enjoying the social hour right away. As the coordinator, I will make sure the signing area is cleared of any beverages and the background looks nice for photos. As for who will join you, invite your wedding party and immediate family! I can have glasses with champagne ready for a fun toast immediately following the signing. Just let me know how many to have ready 🥂

5. Place card set up is something I love doing as a coordinator! I have my routine down to a science to efficiently set up and precisely place all of the cards across the table. All I request is having your place cards organized before the wedding day in alphabetical order by last name, and have the head table place cards in a separate pile so I can personally set them up at the head table.

6. A polaroid guest book is a great way to collect memories, advice and well wishes and is a fun option for your guests! Here is what you will need: Two polaroid cameras 📸, lots of film, extra batteries, the guest book, tape (if your book doesn’t have a way to attach the photos), lots of pens/markers, a sign to direct guests what to do, and TWO baskets - one for all of the film and a second basket for the garbage from removing the film wrapping and for the first blank “photo” that prints out with fresh film.

7. Enjoy yourselves! If you need anything such as floss, tissues, mints, help with shaking off the nerves before the ceremony, a beverage, a button sewn back on, help with the dress bustle, and someone to put your speech at the head table, just say the word! I love what I do as a wedding coordinator and am so happy to help however I can to make the wedding day a fun, stress free day 🙂

Here are a few of my wedding planning tips (and how I will help through the wedding day as a coordinator) PART 1:

1. After the ceremony & photos, where will your bouquet go? Most of the time, it is placed at the head table as additional decor! As your coordinator, I will collect your bouquet, place it at the head table, and then make sure it is collected at the end of the night in case you want to preserve it afterwards. Bonus note: depending on the head table style, you might want a vase for your bouquet! Harvest tables look great with bouquets in vases down the center of the table, while I recommend placing bouquets flat on the table for traditional style head tables to avoid bouquets sitting up too tall for photos.

2. You have the guest table decor selected, but what about your head table? I meet with a lot of couples who know what they want for their guests' tables, but haven’t thought much about their own personal table. I always love seeing the bouquets, greenery or some type of filler, and lots of candles! Take a look around your home at your personal decor. Is there any home decor you could bring with to add some personal touches to your head table?

3. Boutonniere and corsage placement is so important! When I attach boutonnieres, I want to make sure they are secure and the pins are hidden in the coat lapel so no one gets poked during a hug. Also, ask your florist about providing 2 pins for boutonnieres so they are extra secure and confirm about the corsage attachments so they fit comfortably.

A wedding detail I love and recommend is including a private vow or letter reading after your first look! This special moment gives you the chance to express your love, vows and feelings about the day in a intimate setting. If the idea of sharing such personal vows during the ceremony gives you anxiety or just doesn’t feel like you, add in a private vow reading to your schedule to give you the opportunity to say all the things you want to share with your favorite person. If you are interested in sharing personal vows during the ceremony, another option would be spending 10-15 minutes in the morning to write a letter to each other. This letter can express how you are feeling and how excited you are to see them soon and begin this exciting adventure! It can be read privately or together - you decide! Plus, having this physical letter or vow would be an amazing keepsake from your wedding day to look back on 💕

2023 Wedding Trend: Color! 💐

As a minimalist, a classic color palette of white, black and green will always be gorgeous! But it is exciting to see a creative design using a variety of colors!! Pops of color can be used in the bouquets or vintage glassware for a fun twist on the table design. Or go big with a colorful flower wall for a photo background or create a centerpiece that incorporates the full rainbow 🌈 I’m curious, what is your wedding style?!

For todays + , lets talk about First Looks!

I love when couples do first looks because not only are they extremely romantic and swoon worthy but they save you SO MUCH TIME on your wedding day!

Doing a first look allows you and your photographers to get through couple photos, wedding party photos, and even some family photos before the wedding ceremony even begins! Allowing you to get more photos in with your other guests during cocktail hour and most importantly, the chance to enjoy those cocktails and appetizers you worked so hard to pick out for your guests! 😉

AND these don't just have to be between the wedding couples, we've seen first looks with fathers, mothers, siblings, children, and even pets!
