April, 2023 - We had a magnificent week of vacation. We were impressed with the array of things we were able to do. The time in Jordan was incredible, and a large draw for us to travel to that part of the world. Wadi Rum was a particular highlight and somewhat unexpected as we were really thinking mostly of Petra.

The seven-branched Menorah was placed in the Tabernacle and later in the Temple in Jerusalem. It has always been a symbol of the Jewish people and has become the symbol of the State of Israel. The bronze Menorah sculpture pictured here is situated opposite the Knesset. It has 30 reliefs that tell the story of the Jewish people.

Travel to Israel is back!
On his first day Jack wrote: "We stopped at Mount Scopus for a spectacular view of Jerusalem while we recited the Shehechiyanu blessing and a l’chiam." It was a great feeling just being here in Jerusalem. I learned a bible quote: If I forget Jerusalem, may I lose my right hand."
