The Gold Planner, Inc. exists to provide an entirely different medium by which the consumer can buy or sell precious metals. Today, the consumer has two choices when looking to make a precious metals transaction. First, they can approach a local coin shop. A thoughtful consumer will recognize that the coin shop must charge higher prices to cover their storefront and overhead. In addition, the coin shop is usually selling from their own inventory. Therefore, they may be conflicted in what they recommend you buy. Alternatively, the consumer can approach an online retailer. Many of these have great prices but offer no education or advice as to what to buy or hold. There is no advice given as relates to a persons personal situation or goals. The Gold Planner has several advantages over the other mediums. First, The Gold Planner does not have a store front and doesn't carry inventory. Precious metals are shipped directly to the client from our wholesalers. This allows us to give great pricing which is often as low as the major online retailers. The Gold Planner doesn't aim to be the lowest price retailer, but instead aims to be the highest value. Value is inherit in our process because the focus is on advice. I'm Craig Hill, I'm The Gold Planner. I've been involved in financial advising since 1994. I became a Certified Financial Planner™ professional in 1999. I've owned my own firm and have worked for large firms. I left Charles Schwab in September of 2015 to enter into the precious metals industry. When people approach The Gold Planner for precious metals, I immediately want to know what their goals are. If they are experienced precious metals investors and are well educated on the subject matter then they are usually looking for best price. However, if they are new to precious metals investing then I want to spend some time helping them set goals and formulating a plan. This is where education comes in. People are confused as to what forms of gold to buy. It's similar to the confusion people experience when trying to buy stocks. I help people slow down and think through what they are doing. I help them make better buying decisions. I also offer them a conflict free business model. I charge a flat mark up based on the size of the transaction. I don't make more or less depending on what you buy or sell. I don't sell from my own inventory and I check multiple wholesale relationships for the best price. To summarize all of the above, The Gold Planner, Inc. is a consumer-centric provider of precious metals and precious metals advice. We serve the consumer in a way that their financial advisor, local coin shop or online retailer does not.
