This doesn’t matter other than my ego. Something that has been bothering me for months… A notable figure in the paintball world suggested that we ruined 1-2 Inception Designs Axe bodies at some point. I am 100% sure we never anodized any Inception bodies during the time we were in business. I checked through our entire Google doc request sheet and our pic folders. I had nothing...
I recall the few complaints we had. Most were justified and all were remedied to the customers satisfaction to the best of our knowledge.
1) A CCM part color match black (not justified)- this was one of our first paying customers. I ano’d his complete gun to make it all match “in the sun”.
2) A incredibly large Automag run color inconsistencies (justified) - I don’t recall the remedy, but I made promises I couldn’t deliver on.
3) Gold LV1 (justified)- there were some spots on the barrel. I re-ano’d the barrel again, got a good color match, but the same spots were there after polishing and dusting again. I suspected something in the metal, but those spots weren’t there in the original Ano…
4) Lotus Cocker (justified, but out of my control) this had a Cerakote finish when it arrived. I couldn’t remove it. It had to be sent out to be media blasted. When we ano’d it, streaks appeared in the finish. This was from the bead blasting using too much pressure and “burned” the aluminum. Customer understood the issue.
Edit** 5) My most egregious.. (severely justified). The owner was so understanding and cool about it.. I stripped the Ano match reference part.
Does anyone know about these Inception bodies?
