We call Robertson County Tennessee home. Robertson County was one of 6 North Carolina counties that came together to make the 16th state in the Union on June 1st 1796. Happy Birthday, Tennessee!
Some of the first correspondence from the new state officials back east touted the area as great for growing tobacco and hemp. Both crops are still important in our agricultural communities. We would love to share the history with you on one of our farm tours.
All of our tours are private and by appointment only.
We are currently unaffected by the coronavirus. We will remain open and maintain our normal business hours. We look forward to seeing you soon!
The feed mill has chicks in stock. That must mean that Spring is on its way. We have a full schedule of rural farm tours, hemp farm tours and rural culture tours. Comment and invite a friend for a chance to win a free set of tickets.

Today’s Farmer Friday. Go check out our friends in Knoxville at @sarah’s Spice & Posies. We all grow together.
It’s more than just a farm tour. It’s a way for Rural Tennessee to show off its roots. It’s an opportunity to cultivate ideas and conversations about what it means to support local farmers and communities. Tobacco is often a misunderstood plant that has been the main cash crop for the black patch area of Northern Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky. It’s the fine wine, local cheese kind of delicacy that international travelers are looking for. I would love to show you around. If you are local I would love to tell your story and preserve your family traditions.
It’s seems a little earl this year.. it’s tobacco cutting time in middle Tennessee. These young men are harvesting burly tobacco. They will cut each plant down with a tobacco knife, spike it on to sticks and the hang it barns to dry. It’s hot hard work. Farmers have been harvesting tobacco this way for generations. Book a tour with us and we will take you to the field for a private lesson. #farmtour #thenashvilleguide #thingstodoinnashville #thingstodointennessee #nashvillle #therealnashville #tncrossroads #olesmoky #tnfarmtour #tnvaction #bna #cigar #broadway #rabbitcircle

After being raised on a Robertson County farm, Tom Head fulfilled a life-long dream in 1983 and bought a farm. In the early years, he grew dark-fired tobacco, corn and soy beans. Eventually, corn and soy beans were deleted and beef cattle were added. In 2003, Tom added Sarah, a city girl, who was able to fulfill one of her life-long dreams of living on a farm. The farm now host a local market, pick your own berries and orchard. They are open daily from 10-4 until the end of berry and peach season. They will re-open for Apple season later in the year. Tom is also my daddy. We would love to take to the orchard for a behinds the gates tour and introduce you to some of the other local farmers in Adams.
