s in the bush, rather than overlooking it. The contemporary house is fully furnished and equipped, spacious uncluttered. Past guests have recommended the house for its ‘thoughtful amenities’ and 'spacious rooms'. Amenities include large patio with a salt pool which has a built-in game-viewing bench, 3 braai (BBQ) facilities including a large firepit entertainment area, AC's, outside shower. Zwartkloof Private Game Reserve is in an area of the Waterberge, Limpopo province, South Africa. It is between Bela-Bela and Mabalingwe, just off the R516. From Oliver Tambo International Airport: 166km. T&Cs
NO PETS. NO intoxicated or noisy groups. NO SMOKING INSIDE HOUSE. CHILDREN
The house is not recommended for guests looking for a child-friendly or child-safe rental. Children under 8 or groups with lots of young children are subject to final approval. Our policy with regards to children is subject to change. Children of all ages are regarded as guests and discount do not apply for children over 6 months. RATES
Although the house sleeps up to 12 people, we offer discounted rates for groups of less than 9 guests. Visit our website for rates and booking terms. Refundable Breakage Deposit (RBD) due before arrival. Reduced RBD for guests enquiring through Facebook Messenger. Minimum booking: 2 nights. We’re busy maintaining the exterior (waterproofing and a touch of paint) before the rainy season starts.
Curious visitors continue to drop in at all hours for a drink and a snack.

Our 4 bedrooms each have a view of the bushveld, own patio, AC, WC, basin(s), shower and/or bath.
The rooms were also intentionally designed for a worktop if you want to work from there.

The resident family of klipspringers dropped in for an afternoon drink. Managed to “catch” one of them before they hopped off into the grass beyond the clearing cut in preparation of the fire season.

We started with basil and was surprised that it took off. Expanded today and now hoping the newly planted rosemary, mint, lemon balm, and birds eye chilli will flourish as well.
All selected as the local nursery and Google gardener claimed that wild animals won’t eat it.
3 of the herbs ended up in a salad last night 😃

Thankful that our house and all the other houses on Zwartkloof Private Game Reserve are untouched from the fires that caused precautionary evacuation of residents on Sunday night.
Especially thankful that all fire fighters and residents are safe, very little of our beautiful reserve were burnt, and animals had lots of veld to escape the fire.
After the rains the black will transform into beautiful green.

Sadly The Lodge on Zwartkloof Private Game Reserve burnt down from the fire that jumped to our side from the rampant fire inside Highlands Wilderness. The Lodge was situated high on a hill and the only property on the estate with a thatched roof, as it was there before the development started.

As we are receive booking enquiries and some asking if Zwartkloof Private Game Reserve (ZPGR) is also affected by the fires at neighboring Mabalingwe, we want to inform that the fires have thankfully NOT spread to ZPGR. ZPGR remain active with firebreaks between us and Thaba Moriri to prevent it jumping to our side, and on high alert.
