Introducing our TULI LAND OF GIANTS photographic safari.

This tour perfectly weaves the essence of tranquility and raw nature into an experience like no other, as guests enter a location lost in time. Surrounded by vast open skies, towering baobab trees, endless rocky outcrops and ancient rivers, guests can enjoy the ever changing scenery of one of Africa's most spectacular landscapes, indulging in an almost spiritual experience and genetic memory - feeling at home despite being a complete stranger.

But it's not only the comfortable accommodation or breathtaking landscapes that make this safari unique, but also the photogtaphy opportunities including drone photography (under the guidance of a guide), and soon we will launch our latest 'Carapace' which is a protective camera designed and built by allowing guests the opportunity to photograph wildlife from a completely different perspective.

With much to look forward to and our Productions team working tirelessly on formulating idea's and strategies - we finally look forward to hosting our guests in this magical and exciting location.

Bookings open 1 June; subscribe to our Africa Explorer Newsletter for a link to more information about this package, including available dates and costs for 2025.

Hope to see you there!

‘Never let the truth get in the way of a good story.’

The only thing I dislike about my job are the goodbye’s. After an incredible safari this week with at we all depart today with a bunch of unforgettable memories etched in memory for the rest of our lives. Some guests truly have a monumental impact on my life - far greater than they would ever imagine - and for this I am eternally grateful for. It is my absolute privilege to have met so many incredible people through our safaris, forming friendships and bonds that stand the test of time, many of which become like extended family. It really was a fantastic week and one I would re-do in a heartbeat. Thanks to our wonderful guests for making it special, for all the support and advice and enriching my life too.

A hugely special thanks to our incredible guide and tracker Deon for going the absolute extra mile to make this trip special for us all - I cannot commend you high enough!!

Also a shoutout to for finding us an elephant … thanks mate. 😅

Look forward to being back again on safari there soon!

In the shadows of darkness, the king feasts on a delicious vegetarian dish … 🤔

Lions, much like any other cat will consume grass to aid with digestion when they have an upset stomach. Although it’s practiced quite frequently, it’s still always a strange sight to see!

Turf War.

This morning was one of those rare ‘bittersweet’ sightings, where as a photographer you are almost expected to capture the action, both heartwarming and heartbreaking.

About 15 minutes after I took this image, these three young male lions menacingly stalked and attacked a female with 3 cubs. It was intense chaos. The lioness incredibly put her body on the line to distract the males, taking the brunt of the attack upon herself to save the life of her litter. At least one of the cubs was grabbed in the assault. The images were both unbelievable, yet emotional, capturing the full force of lion aggression at its climax. Raw nature.

About 30 minutes after crossing the dunes, I saw the female returning with 2 cubs. A nervous time awaits us as we hope to see the appearance of the third young lion.

Full story and hopefully happy ending will be revealed in the March ‘AFRICA EXPLORER’ Newsletter - subscribe at www.rhulanisafaris.com

Our Story

Established in 2017, Rhulani African Tours and Safaris (Rhulani Safaris) strives to give our guests the best possible African Wildlife Safari experience. With almost 10 years of experience in the field prior to the establishment of Rhulani Safaris, Armand has hand picked the best locations in South Africa and Botswana to operate his tours from, giving you the ultimate experience. Armand’s great passion is with the predators of Africa, especially the Big Cats and has a special connection with them, especially the leopard - who he was fortunate enough to raise at a younger age, living with them and building a unique understanding and bond - who he always tries to find and treat his guests with. After growing up on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Armand has returned to his place of birth, South Africa and now lives his dream out in the wilderness, not restricted to South Africa only, but also Botswana and Mozambique! Follow us at Rhulani Safaris and keep up to date with our Safaris and Armand’s adventures.

Since establishment, Armand and Rhulani Safaris have made endless dreams come true as guests from all around the globe join him on his photographic adventures.
