Established in 2004 by Jennifer Wilkinson after 12 successful year working in hospitality and tourism in North East Victoria where she established and operated the highly acclaimed rural retreat “Finches of Beechworth”, Epicurious travel was a natural progression in her personal life and career.

Fabulous wildlife and striking mountain ranges in Sierra Baguales which lies along the border between Chile and Argentina in Southern Patagonia. It is a beautiful, unspoilt remote landscape where very few tourists visit. Tierra Patagonia offer a brilliant half day excursion to this region. We spotted Rhea, the Patagonian hog-nosed skunk and the very cute Patagonian fox along with a fabulous array of birds from raptors to geese.

I never tire of returning to Torres Del Paine National Park and Tierra Patagonia in Southern Chile. One of the most extraordinary places in the world.

The Chiloé Archipelago offers an amazing break between the dry and spectacular Atacama Desert and the breathtaking landscapes of southern Patagonia. Our visit to the five hectare organic garden and farm of Williche woman, Sandra Naiman was a highlight. Sandra has cultivated an amazing farm as well as artisanal produce which was part of our morning tea.

The High Altitude Lagoons of Miscanti and Meñiques are at 4200 metres in the Andes mountains 2 hours drive from San Pedro de Atacama. The wildlife is extraordinary with Vicuña, foxes, flamingo, nandu,and a variety a beautiful birds like the horned coot and Andean gulls.

Marrakech is such a stunning city and Villa des Orangers, a beautiful Relais and Château property delivers an elegant but relaxed experience. Unique rooms, delicious dining and exceptional service are its trademarks. I’ve loved staying here and will be sad to leave tomorrow but the trade event Pure Life Experiences starts tomorrow and its back to more simple digs for the next four nights.

Back in Pella on the edge of beautiful Lago de Orta. So different to springtime when I was here with our inaugural Food, wine and walking in Piedmont tour. The weather is hot, people are kayaking, swimming and baking in the sun. Can’t wait to return with our next trip in April when mild weather and serenity deliver perfection.

Archie Moore’s kith and Kin at the Australian Pavilion of the 2024 Venice Biennale is extraordinary. Winner of the prestigious Golden Lion Award representing the first time in the Biennale’s history that an Australian artist has won this accolade. I feel so privileged to have been able to experience this incredibly significant and impactful piece of work. It took over 8 years of work to produce this First Nations Family tree representing 65,000 years of history and demonstrating the resilience and strength of First Nations people in Australia.

A glorious few days at one on my favourite hotels in the Basque Country. Akelarre restaurant and hotel is tucked into the hillside of Mount Igeldo just outside San Sebastián - Donostia. The magnificent evening sunsets, fabulous food from Pedro Subijana’s kitchen and the views across the Cantabrian coastline are beautiful.
