Wee personal message to our friends made over the years in Harris....

2022 saw oor Amy graduate with first class honours and oor Sean married to a Polish lass in a memorable Warsaw wedding. Both were subject to several working 'holidays' at Pabbay Cottage (2009-2012) but seem to have come out unscathed.

Character building huh....🤔

Some lovely news today. The young couple who are living in Pabbay Cottage have announced the birth of a beautiful baby girl.

Peigi Ceit Campbell was born on Tuesday in Stornoway, weighing 9lb 9oz ❤. Mother and daughter both well.

Just back from a crazy trip to Pabbay Cottage: thru torrential rain at Cluanie, a landslide on Skye and a choppy crossing 😀.

Many thanks to our guests over the last ten years for your lovely comments. We will treasure this book.

Pabbay Cottage is now on a long term let but we will let you know if it becomes available as a holiday house in the future.

UPDATE: Ferry issues now resolved. MV Hebrides will sail as normal tomorrow.

Great news !

Taransay is the 'Castaway' island (the original big brother type programme in 2000 !)

THE WAIT IS OVER!!!

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our day trips to Taransay for the summer season. This is in response to numerous requests to visit this most exquisite Hebridean island, where an ecological regeneration project is now underway.

The inaugural sailing will be on Tuesday 26th April and sailings will be scheduled every week subject to demand and weather, throughout the summer period.

You can book online through our new website https://isleoftaransay.com/ which gives full details of the scheduled sailings and what visitors can expect to see during their day on Britain’s largest uninhabited island. We will also give further updates here on our page.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Isle of Taransay.

Nice twilight drive up to Scarista House last night for a lovely meal. Its a bit like stepping back in time as you have canapés by the peat fire in the library before going thru to the dining room.

If our guests want to treat themselves then this is for you altho you need a designated driver!
You do need to book in advance as spaces are limited.
