Just received the info that people traveling in Ihram to Jeddah on a visit visa are facing problems. A few were barred from entry and had to arrange for an Umrah visa on urgent basis.

This is despite many passengers having traveled alright on visit visa for umrah before. If you are traveling for Umrah and (especially) planning to enter Saudi in Ihram, you need to opt for Umrah visa and not visit visa.
