Tomorrow the Scottish Borders is delighted to host the 2024 The Tour Of Britain bike race.
With the race route going through Gattonside & Melrose, our current holiday cottage guests will be able to see the cyclists first hand & soak up the atmosphere of the day.

The weather may have turned wet this evening but yesterday morning the cattle (& guests in our cottages) woke up to a beautiful day here at gattonside mains… 🌞
Hopefully the forecast is right & we will see a welcome return of the nicer, dry weather from Tuesday onwards when we can once again enjoy sunny ☀️ views like these from our 5 luxury holiday cottages.

We just wanted to say that we have had a really great time at The Sheep Fold.
Perfect cottage in an even more perfect location.
Everything we expected and more.

Mags, office manager, has been very helpful and sorted out some minor issues very efficiently, quickly and with kindness.

Good morning & what a beautiful morning it is here at Gattonside Mains.

Did you see the Aurora Lights last night? Local photographer & friend of ours Rob Gray Photographer caught them beautifully last night, at several local beauty spots * & what a stunning sight they were.

* photos were taken from Scots view, Wallace statue & Bemersyde - all just minutes away from our cottages.

Thanks to Rob for capturing such stunning images…. Wonder what is going to happen tonight?….

Earlier this week, before the hard frost hit, the farm team were busy ploughing ready for spring sowing….
