They are running Heritage open days throughout September and the annual steam gala at the end of September with Sir Nigel Gresley who is due to be staying until early October.
A new event replacing the traditional War Time Weekend is called "Through the Decades 40s, 50s, 60s, & 70s" and runs on the weekend of Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th October 2023.

Final bit of the refurbishment for this year. The doors for Welburn and the Farmhouse weren’t ready in January so couldnt be fitted. The joiner found a gap at the beginning of March for us and a speedy couple of days was all it took to get them fitted.
Less drafts at the front of the properties and more light in the kitchen with glass panelled stable doors.

Bransdale Cottage has had an upgrade with a brand new kitchen. Integrated fridge freezer, double oven and microwave, plus new flooring.

Maybeck Cottage with a brand new gas fire.

Welburn has had an overall. New gas fire and TV repositioned to give more space for dining and to stop it being scorched by the fire. It’s high but it was the only place to put it! New carpet downstairs.

For those that missed it the kitchen had an update as well with new built in appliances.

We are very pleased with it.

We’ve been so busy we haven’t had time to take photos. Welburn, Bransdale, Maybeck and Gillamoor are finished. Here is a photo of the new Gillamoor showing gas fire and no chimney making it look cleaner and more spacious.
