From the 23rd to the 25th of September, Camra award-winning community pub, THE SUN INN, will be hosting its annual 8th beer festival.

With live music, food, 25 beers and 18 ciders to sample; this has the makings of another stand-out event in the town. Let’s hope the sun shines!

Pickering castle will be open every day between the 19th and 27th of February, 10am until 4pm. The castle is managed by English Heritage and for entrance fees and further information please visit www.english-heritage.org.uk/visit/places/pickering-castle/. If you are a resident of Pickering Parish you can get a pass to allow entry into the castle for free. Family passes are also available, please see the information below on how to obtain a pass.

Tomorrow we will be undertaking works at the back of The Ropery in Pickering.

Work will commence at 7.30am and the area will be cordoned off.

We will be clearing the site of gravel, broken planters and broken border edging ready to replace in January.
