We're committed to being as affordable as we can be for local people. On top of our Pay As You Please Price scheme, we also only sell price marked bags of sweets. But we also host 'Bargain Screenings' where tickets are just £5.

We used to just do 'Bargain Wednesday' but we're starting to spread them out a little more. They're marked on the website with a 'lightning bolt' ⚡️.

With the school holidays coming up we get how expensive and difficult it can be filling the time and entertaining the family. So pre-book for a bargain!

Three of our beaches have once again been ranked among the top beach destinations in the UK. 🔹🔹🔹

Blue Flags and Seaside Awards are awarded each year to beaches that boast the highest standards of cleanliness, facilities, safety, environmental education, and management.

King Eddie’s, Longsands, and Whitley Bay are once again the proud recipients of both awards - and Longsands has now flown the Blue Flag for 30 years in a row.

A huge thank you to all our colleagues and community volunteers who help to keep our coastline looking its best. 👏

Don’t forget if you are visiting with your dog there is a summertime ban on the south end of Whitley Bay beach. You can take your dog onto the beach north of the skate park 😊

A friendly reminder that as of 1st May until 30th September, under the Public Space Protection Order dogs are banned on certain parts of the beach. Please look out for the signs. The ban comes into force today.

However, if your four-legged friend can’t resist the sand they can be walked on the beach north of Panama Gardens 🐶

Did you know that National Geographic recently named Whitley Bay in their top 10 of UK places for a Spring getaway?

They said in their article ‘Whitley Bay was once best known for its caravan parks and fairground attractions, but things have changed over the past decade. Major refurbishments have blown the dust off this arty corner of Tyne and Wear, helping to place the old seaside favourite firmly back on the map.

The mile-long sandy beach, which has been Blue Flag-certified every year since 1994, is a big draw. Brave locals swim and paddle board year-round.’
