During the trek to Annapurna Base Camp in May 2024, we experienced an absolutely beautiful moment that left us utterly spellbound. As we made our way through the vibrant, lush rhododendron forests, the early morning sun cast a golden glow over the verdant landscape, making everything look extraordinarily magical. The trail was adorned with a stunning array of blooming flowers, their colors so vivid they seemed to be painted by an artist's hand.

As we approached the magnificent Machapuchare Base Camp, the awe-inspiring peaks of the Annapurna massif stood majestically against the clear blue sky. The crisp, refreshing mountain air was filled with the melodic sounds of chirping birds and the soothing rush of distant waterfalls. It was an intensely serene and profoundly uplifting moment, one that truly encapsulated the breathtaking beauty and tranquility of the Himalayas.

On the way from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC), trekkers are treated to an enchanting journey through diverse landscapes and breathtaking natural wonders, including a mesmerizing waterfall. This segment of the Annapurna Sanctuary trek is renowned for its stunning beauty and serene environment.

As you depart from Deurali, situated at 3,230 meters, the trail ascends gently through a dense forest of rhododendron and bamboo. The path winds alongside the Modi Khola River, providing a constant companion of soothing river sounds. As you progress, the dense forest gradually gives way to open meadows, offering glimpses of the towering peaks that surround the sanctuary.

One of the highlights of this trek is the sight of a spectacular waterfall cascading down the rocky cliffs. The waterfall, fed by the melting snow and glaciers from the higher elevations, creates a refreshing mist in the air, providing a perfect spot for a short rest and photo opportunity.
