Great educational program for kids and adults! Our family with teenagers loved it!

Didn't make it to one of our CAREing for Turtles Talk last week! Don't worry we are offering CAREing for Turtles every week for the next couple of months! Tickets go fast so make sure to get yours today so that you can get a behind the scenes look into the operations of the rehabilitation center, meet our current patients, and learn how to perform a mock in-take of an injured turtle. Together with our partners at the Okaloosa County Coastal Resource team, we'll teach you how to protect our sea turtles here on the emerald coast!

Few updates before 2023 season

Thank you to the family from Kentucky that let George know about our nest that hatched last night. You girls are awesome. And I know you did a great job getting people to turn off their flashlights. And helping fill in holes.
As a reminder FWC wants these hatchlings to go to the water on their own. If you notice a nest hatching and see lighting or other disorientation please call us. We can help only when we are called. Please remember not to use white lights or handle turtles. It is a struggle with all the light from flashlights checking out crabs and all the condo lights. We realize you are on vacation and want a ”once in a lifetime experience” but remember those hatchling just were born and they don’t understand what you are doing. Please don’t pick them up and take a picture. Please observe nature at a distance and if taking a photo do not use flash. Hatchlings are drawn to bright lights. We want them to use the light of the moon to go to the water. Last night not one turtle went directly to the moon. Will
