The gateway to other celebrations, today (September 23) is the Blessed Rainy Day and this holy day marks the end of the monsoon season in Bhutan. Buckets on roof tops collect sanctified rain water with which locals take a cleansing bath the next morning. All defilements and bad karma purified, they enjoy the heavenly food and traditional games. It is the time to start, it is the time to let go.
