What a welcome back! Thank you so much.
Please remember if you are travelling some distance, please CALL US before coming down on 07927 390380. We'd hate for anyone to be disappointed if we have to open late or close early due to Bob's ongoing recovery.

Phone calls are always better as we don't always have an internet signal in the area and sometimes Bob's daughter is managing the page from miles away for us.

We're back in action!
The sun is shining and it's a lovely day to be on the river Great Ouse.

After a little slip earlier in the year, my ankle is improving slowly and the surgeon did a great job of screwing it all back together!

I'm hoping to be back on the water this weekend to try and do a few trips but please bear with me as I may have to close early if my ankle plays up!

I was hoping to be able to get back to work by now, but unfortunately I still have to use crutches to get about!
It will be another couple of weeks before my ankle has healed enough to get back on the helm.

A little update after another hospital visit!
After a little slip I had in April, I've been back to see the consultant today who operated on my leg.
Good news and bad news!
Good that everything is healing well, I can now start to put some weight on my foot and get rid of the ridiculous velcro boot most of the time.
Bad news is it's going to be another 6 to 8 weeks before I'm back to 80% healed and I won't have full movement in my ankle!
Hopefully I'll be back on the river soon, it'll be lovely to see some smiling faces.

**UPDATE & Thank Yous**
Good morning everyone. Some of you may know that Captain Bob came home last week. He's had his surgery but it's quite extensive. It looks like we should be back in action around Fathers Day weekend but we have to go off Bob's Health physio etc. It most likely will not be the long summer day hours we've had before and we may even have a lunch break - which we never had before, so please bear with us while we find what works for him.

Thank you to everyone at Bridge Boatyard, Ely. for your help when Bob really needed it - and taking care of Suzy too.
Thank you to Peacocks Tearoom and Fine B&B for the tea/coffee and Cake but also taking care of Bobs Daughter when she stayed. We are so grateful.
Thank you to all the NHS Staff, especially those on Ward D8 at Addenbrookes - your smiling faces and care made the time in hospital as relaxing as possible given the situation.
Lastly, thank you to everyone that has given well wishes, offers of help and asked about Bob and Suzy. It's truly overwhelming to see everyones thoughts and wishes but very much appreciated.

Just a note to say, I apologise if I've missed anyone, please do not be upset, this message was drafted by Bob's daughter, Rosina as wifi & phone signal are horrendous in Ely.

We can't wait to see you all on the river soon. If you see us, feel free to give us a wave 👋

Due to a booking we will not be running the usual half hour trips on Sunday 24th of March.
We will also be closed on Monday 25th as I have an appointment I cannot miss.
Sorry for any inconvenience this causes, but we are cruising this week as usual and are back to normal routine on the Tuesday.

We'll be cruising from 11am today!

The water level is a bit low at the moment, so please be careful boarding as its quite a step down!

Just a polite reminder that we are closed for winter.
This includes our phoneline and our messages will take longer to get a response, as winter is the only time we get to travel and spend time with family. We will be open again in MARCH.

Today is the last day of our season and a beautiful day for a cruise!
At the end of today we'll be closing for the winter.
We'd like to thank all of our customers who have supported us through this year, that has been tough both financially and emotionally.
Have a wonderful Winter, Christmas and New year.

Had a lot of fun hosting City Cycle Centre, Toy Dept. for a zoological adventure cruise yesterday! Maybe next time the giraffes might like to try another fish and chips cruise? They were so well behaved, their welcome back onboard any time!

August opening hours for the lovely Peacocks Tearoom and Fine B&B which we highly recommend you all visit. For a traditional English tearoom, this is the best! Twin a trip with the Liberty Belle with the tasty treats on offer at Peacocks, and you'll have some amazing memories with your loved ones. You can find them at 65 Waterside.

We're back tomorrow for ELY PRIDE! It's going to be busy so just a few important things to help you out.
⚓️ The BLUE SIGN tells you when the next cruise is LEAVING - please be at the riverside 10 minutes prior to departure to board. Some customers may have already paid, so just because you're there, doesn't mean you're first. Please ask Suzie for information.
⚓️ Please pay for your cruise BEFORE you board the boat - Suzie is on the boat near the steps waiting for you & can answer any questions you have.
⚓️ There are 3 steps to board the boat, Bob can assist you, but for your safety when on board, we ask all passengers remain seated. Stand for photos by all means, but please ensure children are seated.
⚓️ Passengers will board at Boat Master Bob's discretion. SAFETY FIRST & ALWAYS!
⚓️ We do not accept pet dogs, only registered assistance dogs may board the vessel.
⚓️ Parking - the nearest car park is Ship Lane car park but it fills quickly. Park in the town and walk down Forehill which takes about 10 minutes. All parking in Ely is FREE!

Our special birthday flavours are appearing in the shop! First up is Jazzies! White Chocolate Fudge loaded with White Chcolate Jazzies and oodles of sprinkles. You have been begging for this to return so we had to do it as a special for you all! Louise is making a cheeky second batch this morning if you fancy seeing it being made too! Katie really enjoyed designing our fudge of the week board as well, can you tell?!
