Exeter flood defence scheme The Environment Agency, Exeter City Council and Devon County Council are working together to improve flood defences and reduce flood risk to Exeter by 2018.

When complete, this will reduce flood risk to 3,200 homes and businesses across the city

The aim of this page is to keep you up to date with progress on the final phase of the project. The page is managed on behalf of the partnership by our contractors BMM JV. We aim to respond to all queries as quickly as possible during office hours (Mon – Fri, 9:00 – 17:00). We will not be able to respond at w

eekends or public holidays. For longer enquiries, we may ask you to contact us via email. Please note during incidents, such as flooding, our incident response takes priority and this may mean we can’t respond to every enquiry. This will enable us to email you with details of any planned activity we have coming up to help you plan your journeys. For example; if we are going to need to temporarily close a lane on one of Exeter’s roads we will let you know when we expect the closure to start and finish.
