A lovely morning in Pater Noster!

Upon arrival, the journey to the island and lighthouse of Pater Noster is an experience in itself. Out on the fjord, we see the Carlsten Fortress on Marstrand slowly fade away to the east, and our eyes turn westward. Then, like a spire on the horizon, the king of lighthouses, Pater Noster, reveals itself. We dock at the small harbor and are welcomed by the first stories about the island, lighthouse, and its dramatic history. This is where I will stay tonight.

You also need to visit the fascinating historical site of Torre d’en Galmés in Menorca! 🌄 Perched on a hilltop, this archaeological gem offers stunning views and dates back to 1400 BC, showcasing the life of the Talayotic people until around 123 BC.

With circular and rectangular homes constructed with the ancient “dry stone” technique, it reminds me of stonehenge and other cultures around the world.

Surrounded by beautiful nature trails, Torre d’en Galmés is the perfect spot to immerse yourself in Menorca’s rich history while enjoying its breathtaking landscapes. A must-visit for anyone looking for a unique blend of culture and outdoor adventure! 🏞️✨
