"Erika and the the king Tribhuvan" by Erika Leuchtang (a British woman), that published first in 1957 AD. Erika (1st foreigner, who had direct interaction with the king in Nepal after Boris in Calcutta) came to Nepal to give massages (physiotherapy) to the Queen for about 5 months in 1949 AD and spent time in royal palace, when the king was held prisoner by the Ranas.

The book chronicles the fascinating time, bits that Ms Leuchtang spent in/ with the royal family's presence, arrived in Nepal- not knowing of anything about Nepal or the royal family, never have had second thought - that they would be prisoners. The book gives a good knowledge of how the king was and how beautiful Nepal was back then. It also gives a very personal touch from Erika about her perception of Nepal and the King Tribhuvan and the royal life.

Over the time, the king and the family began to trust her and became friends. This friendship that resulted in the overthrown of Rana regime and the return of the royal family to the throne.

What was your remarkable memory of 2022 ?

As part of our work we got an opportunity to operate an island Peak expedition for two Aussie friends Mr Cole & Miss Sheridian this fall 22.

On their way to island Peak climbing they got engaged in the himalayan height . It was a beautiful journey not only to the summit but to their new life .

We would like to wish them a beautiful year 2023 and to all friends and family as well .
