The last 24 hours have brought us plenty of fresh snow, with coverage down to 700m in some areas! 🌨️🥶
This image from Whare Kea Chalet, just behind our exclusive heli skiing terrain at The Minarets, is a glimpse of what’s been brewing. The new snowfall, combined with excellent pre-existing coverage across our terrain, has set us up for an all-time start to the season.

It is with sadness that we acknowledge the death of Lewis Ainsworth in Canada, surrounded by family and friends.
Experienced beyond his years, Lewis was an exceptional Chief Guide at Southern Lakes Heliski. Clinical in his approach to safety, Lewis was a master at delivering memorable adventures in the mountains all the while leading in a kind, humble, and unassuming manner.
We are grateful and undoubtedly better for having known Lewis and he will be sorely missed amongst the tight-knit alpine community.

Women's Weekend offered two activities - Heliskiing and Ski Touring. Unfortunately the high winds in Wanaka lately cancelled the option for heliskiing, but thankfully our Ski Tour could still get out and enjoy the day, (even in the winds!) before we all came together for a special lunch and trivia to cap an awesome weekend of connection and community.
It may not have been the original plan, but it was just as meaningful and fun thanks to everyone involved.
We can't wait for next year! ❄️
